    Not sure what to say about that review. The means by which the book is critiqued (anal retentive list of whether something said to appear "in every chapter" doesn't appear in three of them, etc. etc.) makes me dubious about the places where the book is praised.

    Or maybe I'm just cynical.

    Well, I'm not saying THAT. Just that I'm a bit dubious about an engineer's approach to language learning.
